Chortle chortle, SCON is going up nicely today and the gamble I took buying in earlier when bears drove the price way down is paying off. This little outfit has never made a profit and is totally a one-trick-pony, with nothing to sell but a superconducting electronic filter that makes cell phone towers work better (less static on the line, fewer dropped calls, better data throughput, hence more efficient and profitable(!!!) operations for the tower). Even so, somebody somewhere has been injecting money into it (new stock issues) more or less on a regular basis and they recently replaced the CEO who had presided over their long lackluster underperformance streak. The new CEO seems more sales-oriented, which I think is just what this outfit needs. But the beauty of the stock is it's tendency to yo-yo. In the past I've bought around $2 and sold around $100, bought around $.85 and sold around $1.35, etc. This time I bought around $.65 and $.54 and it's back up to $.85. I have no idea where it will crap out this time, but the ride is interesting. |
