Hello. I haven't been here for quite a while. I was wondering what you might think about a real penny play that I have fooled with for a couple of years; NNLX. During that time, I have been lucky at trading, as it slid from .20 to under a nickel. In the last couple of trading days it backed off from a recent high of .115 to .09. Most of the time it was focused on developing hydrogen gas from waste water; a technology that it couldn't perfect to the point that it was economical. The company was rooted in microbiology and has been developing a new kind of fast petri dish technology that has recently been verified by a very large company; Battelle. The pps took a leap when it was leaked a few months ago that Battlelle was testing with an eye towards placing an order. A couple of weeks ago Battelle verified the technology in a paper published in a microbiology journal. Supposedly, the production ramp up has been on hold for financing and now the rumor is that the clean room buildout has begun. This is a teensy little nonreporting pink sheet company, but it posts its financials on its web site at www.nanologix.com. A reporter for a local paper "The Vindicator" put out some short articles on the company. This link will take you to most recent and it is searchable for the rest. http://www.vindy.com/news/2009/apr/14/study-buoys-hubbard-biotech-company/ What do you think? I am thinking that it has a good chance at securing some large orders and financing, in which case it will be over half a buck over night. Of course, if nothing happens it will slide back to a nickel. My money is on something happening and I have an order for more on a pullback to .08. (I already own a chunk at .063.)It closed the week on a few buys at .09. What do you think? |

Bill - I checked it out, but I don't see the argument in favor. Not that there isn't one, but it must be obscured in all the "news". What's your argument for it? |

I bought IAR which is now looking like a penny stock priced to go to zero. But I think there is a realistic chance that it not only survives but thrives. But in this market having a lot of debt and a declining main business gives you the kiss of death. But the decline is slow and i think will stop somewhere or even reverse at some point. And inflation will eat at the debt over time and also reverse the revenue decreases. Am I hallucinating? |

No, sentry was working on a scanning unit to find explosives/weapons on individuals as they passed thru. Now that I think about it maybe it wasn't Sentry. I may be misremembering. edited to add. Now I remember, it was VYST that had the scanner. They were working with Quantum Magnetics which was an INVN subsidiary. Sentry was just an interesting play on security and had some preferred at one time which converted to common via an interesting deal. blah blah blah. Many here owned SKVY for quite a while and they were never able to get out of their own way. (Message edited by KillerNut on October 30, 2007) |

Slip, I have been in and out of this a couple of times. I noticed it closed strong on Fri the 26th, I put a low bid in this AM and got filled for 10,000 shares. I probably would not have chased it. (If it does not come down I might buy a bit more.) It's a big story for a little stock but that's what I like about it. It's a real company been around awhile and might have finally found the right combo. |

I sold my BIZ (DSLN) awhile back for a small loss, and then just for fun, I re-bought 20K shares of it a few months back 0.04. There was news today, but I'll be damned if I can tell if it is material to the stock price. http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060829/20060829005599.html?.v=1 |

The hypster got to work fast for NNLX. http://otcfn.com/nnlx/media/NanoLogix_Editorial.pdf I find it disturbing that the article begins by suggesting that the company has a bioreactor treating 40 million gallons of waste water at the Erie Wastewater Treatment Plant. Just over a month ago, NNLX announced the inking of a contract to build a prototype there. Somehow, I think the company would have announced it was operational. It hasn't, so I assume it is time to stand by for pumpola. Wakky |

Super/Wakky - Super has the same idea I had, pretty much, but I've spent a lot more time and thought trying to defend my idea than I put into forming it in the first place. As for Form 4's, I really have no idea. They're a public company, so I assumed that the reporting rules apply. However, if they are really crooks, they can find their way around the rules... |

ph - [(2) there's no reason why they would announce hiring a hypester.] Couldn't it just be a CYA maneuver, i.e. "we hired a pump-and-dump specialist, and we're announcing it publicly, so don't blame us if you get burned in the upcoming shenanigans"? I've seen enough BS wonderstock announcements with disclosures like "we were paid to say this, you have been warned" to believe it's more or less standard practice. The rubes read it and assume the announcement is legit because the information indicating that there's good reason to believe it's totally biased has been properly revealed. |

Heel, Are you sure that insider trades have to be reported? Isn't this an unregistered security? If so, I don't believe forms 4 have to be filed and am unsure about 144. Rule 144 appears to apply to registered and unregisterd shares, but I don't know if they are talking about unregistered shares in a reporting company with an active registration statement. You probably know the answer if you think about it. TC certainly has the answer. Wakky |

Wakky - I was just thinking they wanted someone to hype the stock for them, perhaps so they could sell shares they've bought recently at higher prices. Two problems with that idea are (1) that they'd have to file all insider trades and (2) there's no reason why they would announce hiring a hypester. |
